Retessia is not open to the public yet. Today this website does one thing: it lets you join a list so we can contact you when it is. This policy explains what we collect when you do that, why we collect it, and how to get it back or get it removed.

Who we are

Retessia is a business based in California, United States. You can reach us at hello@retessia.com about anything in this policy.

What we collect

Only what you type into the form. Nothing is gathered in the background.

• Email address, when you join the list
• Store name, number of stores, and the year the store opened
• Your first and last name
• City and state
• Phone number, which is optional and can be left blank

We do not ask for, and have no use for, payment details, financial account information, government identification numbers, or anything about your health.

Why we collect it

• To contact you about early access to Retessia
• To send you a newsletter and product updates you have signed up for
• To understand who is interested, for example how many are single store owners and how many are opening a first store, so we build something useful to them

We use it for those purposes and nothing else.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing. We have no advertising partners and we do not run advertising on this site.

Who processes it for us

Two service providers handle your information on our behalf, and only in order to operate the site and reach you:

• Netlify hosts this website and stores the form submissions
• Google Workspace receives and stores the email we send and receive

We may add an email marketing provider before the first newsletter goes out. If we do, we will update this page and note the change here.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third party trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. Because this site does not track you across other websites in the first place, there is nothing for that signal to switch off, and we do not respond to it differently. We also do not permit third parties to collect information about your activity across other sites through this one.

How long we keep it

We keep what you submit until Retessia launches and you either become a customer or tell us you are no longer interested, whichever comes first. If the project does not go forward, we delete the list. You can ask us to delete your information at any point before that.

Your choices

Email hello@retessia.com and we will, at no cost to you:

• Tell you exactly what we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information entirely
• Remove you from the list

You do not have to give a reason, and asking will not affect anything else. Every newsletter we send will also carry an unsubscribe link.

California residents

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information a business collects about you, to request that it be deleted, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. The section above is how you exercise them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used under California law.

Children

This site is intended for people running or opening a retail business. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email us and we will remove it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and submissions are stored with the providers named above. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we keep the amount of information we hold deliberately small.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, for example if we start using a new provider or collect something new, we will say so here and, where we can, email people on the list.
